Parivartana Yoga

By The Astrologic Desk · Editorial and calculation review

Parivartana yoga forms when two grahas exchange signs — each occupying the sign the other rules. The exchange links the two houses involved so that the affairs of each depend on the other. It is classified into three types: Maha (auspicious houses), Khala (mixed), and Dainya (difficult houses).

Category: Raja. Rule: Graha A occupies the sign ruled by graha B while graha B occupies the sign ruled by graha A.

What it indicates

  • Two areas of life becoming structurally linked
  • Mutual reinforcement between the exchanged houses
  • Results typically activating during the dashas of either graha

Caveats

  • A Dainya parivartana involving dusthana houses is not beneficial
  • The exchange links outcomes; it does not automatically improve them
