Neecha Bhanga Raja Yoga
By The Astrologic Desk · Editorial and calculation review
Neecha bhanga raja yoga forms when a debilitated planet's weakness is cancelled by specific conditions — most commonly when the lord of its sign, or the planet exalted in that sign, occupies a kendra from the Lagna or the Moon. The cancelled debilitation is then read as producing unusual rise.
Category: Raja. Rule: A debilitated graha whose dispositor, or the graha exalted in that sign, occupies a kendra from the Lagna or the Moon.
What it indicates
- Rise from a genuinely disadvantaged starting point
- Strength developed through early limitation
- Late but substantial achievement
Caveats
- Classical sources list several different cancellation conditions and do not agree on which are sufficient
- Cancellation restores strength; it does not by itself create the raja yoga effect
