Raja Yoga
By The Astrologic Desk · Editorial and calculation review
Raja yoga is not a single combination but a class of them: any association between the lord of a kendra house and the lord of a trikona house. Association means conjunction, mutual aspect, or an exchange of signs. It is the central status-and-capability yoga in Parashari astrology.
Category: Raja. Rule: The lord of a kendra (1, 4, 7, 10) conjunct, in mutual aspect, or in exchange with the lord of a trikona (1, 5, 9).
What it indicates
- Rise in status through capability
- Authority combined with legitimacy
- Opportunity arriving at the right moment
Caveats
- The strength of the yoga depends entirely on the condition of the two lords
- A raja yoga formed by weak or afflicted lords delivers little
- The 1st house is both a kendra and a trikona, which some sources treat specially
